Welcome:

  11/00

I am seeking permanent and contract opportunities in all San Francisco Bay Area locations.  You can download my resume from this link.

In my current position with Teambridge I created Web-Based Groupware document editing software with threaded dialog and version control.  This is similar to Lotus Notes in scope, and adds the threaded document model to extend the groupware concept, and create truly collaborative team-based document editing over the web.

Recently, I developed a Microsoft Access data-structuring and reporting system to manage the server financial database for Bank of America's International Accounts Division.

Prior to this, I created Microsoft Word VBA Wizards to produce all company contracts for a large real estate firm.  I helped the company's legal counsel incorporate business rules into these Wizard templates to build strong technical designs for generation of legal contracts.

At Wells Fargo Bank I designed an Sales Presentation system using Powerpoint and Excel to produce client sales presentations for the Trust Planning Division.  Concurrently, I developed Microsoft Word 2000 Wizards to produce all company contracts for a large national real estate firm.

To show my mastery of the Office 2000 and Office 97 Component Object Model, I developed Microsoft Word Wizards to produce all company contracts large national real estate firm.  There I helped to define business requirements to build strong technical designs for the creation of legal contracts.  I designed hypertext help for all data fields using HTML, the Office Assistant and Microsoft Agent speech control.

With the major international law firm, Graham and James LLP, I developed numerous databases and Visual Basic applications.  I completed the firm wide upgrade from Microsoft  Word 95 (Wordbasic) to Microsoft Office VBA and the Visual Basic  edition of "MacPac" for the PC-DOCS document management system.  I designed SQL Server integration for the firm's address book data using RDO and Visual Basic Enterprise.

On previous contract assignments I have developed complete Microsoft Access, Excel and Visual Basic business information systems, from concept to coding and error proofing.  Using RDBMS database design concepts, I designed a Visual Basic front end to an existing network reports database using Apex True DBGrid Professional for live previewing and editing of data. Vital sales forecasts are now automatically entered into executive reports on a timely basis, and a single VB procedure replaces the tedious editing of approximately 25 monthly sales reports. Sales representatives view their monthly data in a familiar Excel spreadsheet format via OLE Automation by the Sales Booking interface. Monthly report data is automatically compressed and emailed to corporate headquarters.  This eliminates error prone user links in the system, and reduces the administrative workload.

Prior to this I developed three turn-key Microsoft Access reports databases for PG&E:  a document management database with OLE Automation links to Microsoft Word, a Healthcare Benefits database with custom reports and charts, and a reports interface for the Saros Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) running on SQL Server.  I designed unique alias-type fields from memo field data for reports and analysis.

Managers have the convenience of publishing their own reports in Microsoft Word, or examining details of the underlying records and queries in Excel with custom printing scenarios I provided via OLE Automation.  I also developed a Natural language query interface that allows users to retrieve data and charts using questions formulated in ordinary language; and implemented a full security system with user login based on the Microsoft TechNet? specification.

I independently developed a multimedia Visual Basic application for students and travelers that provides hundreds of useful phrases in French, Spanish, German and Italian; including a 20,000 word dictionary. The translator utilizes a "Quicken-style" incremental search for instant accessing of material using only a few keystrokes.
