Dear Sirs:
In my current position with a large national real estate firm, I created Microsoft Word 97 Wizards to produce all company contracts. I participated in defining business requirements to build strong technical designs for generation of legal contracts. Hypertext help is provided for all data fields via the Office Assistant and/or Microsoft Agent 2.0 Voice synthesis for usability.
I independently designed a multimedia Visual Basic application for rapid translation of useful English phrases for travelers into four major languages--French, Spanish, German and Italian. The program includes sound support for translations and contains 2000 phrases and a 20,000 word dictionary in each language.
Recently, I also developed voice-synthesis integration for Microsoft Word 97 document text and hyper-voice help for document Wizards using Microsoft Agent 2.0 ActiveX technology. These would also be excellent in a multilingual environment and for handicapped users. I plan to soon add voice-synthesis support for French, German and Spanish speakers, similar to my Fluent Traveler application.
With the major international law firm, Graham and James in San Francisco, I designed numerous databases and Visual Basic applications. There, I helped the firm complete its upgrade from MS Word 95 to Word 97 VBA and the Visual Basic version of the Legal MacPac for PC-DOCS. The firm's Address book data is accessed through Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and RDO using a Visual Basic 5.0 Enterprise Edition application that I designed.
On previous contract assignments I created a complete Visual Basic, Access and Excel business information system, from concept to coding and error proofing. I used RDBMS design concepts in converting the client Network Administrator's Access reports database to offer a data collection front end written in Visual Basic; and the TrueGrid Professional ActiveX data control to implement live previewing and editing of data. Vital sales forecasts can now be automatically entered into executive reports on a timely basis, and a single Access Basic procedure replaces the tedious editing of approximately 25 spreadsheets from sales representatives every month. Sales reps are able to view their monthly data in a familiar Excel spreadsheet format via OLE export from my Sales Booking application. Monthly data is automatically compressed and mailed to corporate headquarters. This improved the original worksheet data processing scheme by eliminating error prone performance links in the system and reducing the workload of CNE Administrators.

Prior to this I was engaged in database development for eight months at PG&E where I completed three turnkey MS Access applications. First I designed a document management database with OLE server links to Word for Windows on desktop systems. Then I created a Healthcare Benefits database with custom reports and charts, and designed a reports front end for the Saros Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) running on Microsoft SQL Server. I designed unique alias-type fields from memo field data which allow HR Managers to do independent analysis and reporting of critical company-union relations through the existing EDMS system.
Managers have the convenience of publishing their own reports in Microsoft Word, or examining details of the underlying records and queries in Excel with custom printing scenarios I provided via Excel VBA. I also created an English language database interface. As you may know, this allows users the flexibility of retrieving answers about data from questions formulated in ordinary language. The interface also creates customized charts without user programming. Full featured security with user loginsomewhat difficult to implement in Accessis provided, ensuring the safety of vital company data.
